CSM - CORE Student Ministries

CORE is:

Challenging Ourselves to Reach Everyone

Pillars of C.O.R.E Student Ministries:

Worship: Through this, students will learn that worshiping God is a lifestyle (Romans 12:1) and not just singing on Sunday mornings.  They will learn about the type of life that is pleasing in God’s sight and how they can apply those principles in a practical way to their lives.

Discipleship:  This is where we take the example of Jesus and put it into practice. We are going to lead the students to a deeper knowledge of God.  The students need to learn how to come into a lasting relationship with God.  Our goal is to equip the students with a faith of their own.

Evangelism/Outreach:  This will incorporate the use of our Sunday night programming and various “fun” activities (CIY, retreats, Party night, outreach night, etc.).  This is in place so that we can reach those students that are seeking a place of refuge and belonging.  Our door is always open to them.  We won’t turn them away.  That the attitude that will be modeled for the students.

Community:  This ministry is a safe place for students to come and be who they are.  We are not a place that will make them feel as though they don’t belong.  This will challenge all of those involved to be willing to push differences aside and work together.

Service:  This will give students the opportunity to put what they are learning into practice.  They need to think globally and act locally to spread the message of Christ.   Our goal is to teach them compassion and love for all of those around them.

Dive Groups- Discipleship groups for High School students.  These group are divided up be gender.  Adults lead them with 6-7 students in each group.  These groups incorporate discipleship, accountability, and service.  These groups are for our core and committed students.  They are equipped with the tools to develop a working faith of their own.  They are taught the importance of accountability with fellow believers.  These groups meet in homes during the week.

Ruckus-  Is our time of High School outreach.  We meet at Stage One Thursday nights from 6-8pm.  Our main goal is to create a safe community where students feel free to be themselves.   This is time of food, fun, and fellowship.  It’s a great place to come and meet new people. This season marks the return of the 2nd annual dodgeball tourney in May, and every night there is foosball, ping pong, old school arcade, skeeball, carpetball, and much more.
