Single Adult Ministry, a place to connect...

We invite you to be part of a growing ministry designed for single adults that places value in Christian Education and discipleship.

We all desire friends with whom we hang out and have a good time. We also desire friends who will challenge us and sharpen our character.  In SAM, you’ll have numerous opportunities to connect with other like-minded men and women to cultivate these kinds of relationships.

Not only that, but you’ll also find SAM to be a place to grow in your spiritual journey, no matter where you currently are. You'll discover more about God's purpose for your life and how much you matter to Him.

"Single Adult" is defined as legally single, not in the process of divorce or separation. SAM suggests a transitional period during which we strongly recommend that you are in a healing process, either through First Church’s DivorceCare Ministry or an alternative divorce-recovery program.

Join us each week as we discuss relevant Biblical passages dealing with real life situations.   We are part of the Body of Christ.  No experience necessary.    Come, study with us.

Cross Roads is currently providing support to Laura, a 14 year old child from Romania.

CrossRoads ABF exists to:

  • Learn God’s Word.
  • Foster spiritual growth.
  • Provide opportunities to serve Christ and others.
  • Develop a sense of community among single adults.
Provide fellowship in a safe, Christian environment.

Support Ministry

Single Adults - Age 35+

 

The Divorce Care workshop exists to:

  • offer support and guidance for those who are separated or divorced.
  • help those who have experienced marital breakdown resolve their current struggles and identify the next steps in their healing process.

The program consists of a 35 minute teaching video followed by 90-minute group discussion time around the topic for the evening. The workbook cost is $15.00 and may be paid in the class. Light refreshments will be provided. 

The DivorceCare class meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:30 from September through May.

Changes that Heal is a post-DivorceCare class which will begin meetings on Wednesday nights in September.  Discover how to understand your past to ensure a healthier future. Contact Debbie at debbiewill@fuse.net for more information.

Outreach & Service Ministry

Outreach & Service Opportunities within the Single Adult Ministry are coming soon in 2008…. 

If you are looking for a place to use your talents and spiritual gifts, you’ve come to the right place!    There are four areas of Ministry – Christian Education, Support, Fellowship and Outreach & Service.

Become part of the Outreach Team by making phones calls - sending emails - mailing birthday, get well, encouragement cards… there are many singles yet to be reached within our own church.   Let’s reach out to them so they, too, can discover, experience and share the love of Christ.

Service Opportunities will be available in 2008 where we as Christian Single’s can reach out to others.
