JOY Club - Senior Adult Ministry Our Senior Adult Ministry (JOY Club) exists to help individuals celebrate their senior years (the prime of their life). Celebration is carried out through Bible studies, luncheons, trips, and service opportunities. Monthly Luncheons (Tuesdays) Monthly luncheons are held here at First Church of Christ in the FIRST Center from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. We offer a catered luncheon once a quarter.JOY
Club Lunch Dates for 2008: *Catered luncheons - $6.50 per person Monthly Activities Our activities provide opportunities to enjoy local sites and attractions (within a 2-hour drive of Burlington). Most of our long trips are aboard a motor coach for comfort and convenience. Perhaps you have a friend who has never been a part of anything at First Church of Christ, and you’d like to invite him or her to a non-intimidating event. These one-day trips allow you to enjoy fellowship in a positive, Christian atmosphere. Trips range in cost from $15.00 to $62.00. Call Faye Wainscott at the church office 859-586-4673 ext. 31 for particular details on the trip of your choice. Alive! Friday, April 25 - 9:15 am - 3:00 pm. This special event especially for people 50 and over is sponsored by Cincinnati Christian University. It includes a lunch cruise aboard the Belle of Cincinnati with Bob Russell speaking and Tom Alexander, Matt Archibald and Mark Barbee as vocalists and leading in audience participation. The cost is $30. NOTE: Activities are subject to change based on circumstances. Space is limited.
